Meet Sherneal Joseph, your Biogen Face of Fitness Finalist 2021

When she’s training, she finds her solace – it’s a time to recharge, a time to rejuvenate. To walk away feeling empowered and nourished from the inside out.

Despite being sporty from a young age, the turning point for me was when the gym became my solace during a difficult period in my life.

Despite everything, the one time I felt empowered, nourished and rejuvenated from the inside out was during my sessions, and it was a feeling I wanted more and more of. The rest is history.

My commitment to fitness has played a huge role in pushing me to become the highest expression of myself in a multitude of ways.

It has nourished me, empowered me, and instilled an aggressive work ethic and resilience within me. It has helped me to unlock my calling and my purpose. It has taught me the importance of consistency, patience and hard work, as well as the inevitability of success that comes with these principles. All of this has extended to every aspect of my life in the most incredible ways possible.

I would describe my approach to fitness as balanced and holistic.

Balanced in the sense that, when it comes to my training and nutrition, extremes are never an option because sustainability is the ultimate goal. My approach is holistic in the sense that everything I do needs to positively impact my general health and well-being.

I appreciate different types of training and their unique benefits.

I make it a point to make sure my training is hybrid, consisting of a combination of cardio, weight training, functional training and mobility work.

Biogen Protein Bites are my favourite Biogen supplement because they are basically Ferrero Rochers (with protein).

Where there is a purpose, excellence will inevitably follow.

In a society where authenticity is rare, be intentional about defining YOUR “why” in everything you do. Consistently align everything you invest your time and energy into with your core values and NEVER compromise because the ultimate goal is to become the highest and greatest expression of yourself and no one else.
