Tremaine is passionate about fitness for many reasons, from the health benefits and physical outlet it provides to the life skills it teaches her, such as patience, dedication, determination, discipline, tenacity, and self-belief.
Fitness has always been a part of my life since my early years. However, I only started paying attention to the health and fitness industry as something I wanted to do professionally in 2019.
I started my business MaineMoves, which initially started as a dance company and has since evolved into dance fitness, which is my niche. I discovered my passion for fitness and the benefits it provides when I was facing some of life’s challenges and needed a healthy and positive release. I continue to focus on fitness because, as much as the physical benefits were my initial motivation behind maintaining a healthy and balanced fitness lifestyle, doing so has taught me principles I use in my everyday life such as patience, dedication, determination, discipline, and a strong sense of belief in myself.
Fitness has shown the extent to which I can push myself. It has shown me the tenacity, resilience, and strength I possess each day.
Being a part of the top 6 is an exceptional example of how fitness has changed my life. Fitness has also taught me that rest is important. We all need a pause now and then to take everything in, allow growth and just enjoy all your hard-earned work. Taking care of your body and health is the purest form of self-love, and I truly believe that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind, which then makes a happy soul.
I have a largely balanced and holistic approach to fitness.
My main focus is weight training. However, I use dance as a form of cardio and endurance training while practising yoga and using functional training to maintain my mobility as I believe that fitness should be well rounded and not one dimensional.
I do a lot of muscle-building work as I want to increase my muscle size.
I also segregate muscle groups and do the conventional “bro split” to allow my muscles enough time to recover and grow. I participate in one HIIT and one yoga class once per week to increase my cardiovascular endurance and improve my flexibility.

This quote has been my daily reminder that nothing truly desired is ever achieved without evolving and growing, making sacrifices, or facing challenges. It is only when we leave our comfort zones that we can truly push ourselves and reach our potential greatness.
To anyone pursuing their dreams or working on achieving a personal goal: Do not give up on yourself.
Remember that you chose to improve yourself for a reason. All good things come with challenges and when those challenges arise, don’t go back to habits or situations that were not helping you evolve. You have to keep reminding yourself why you decided to level up. Stay positive about what’s to come by being consistent.
