Get to know the Biogen Face Of Fitness Top 6- Micheline Marmol

It wasn’t an easy decision to determine who the top 6 would be in the #BiogenFaceOfFitness2021, but after much deliberation by the judges we now have 6 aspiring fitness models who will embark on their 3 day photoshoot experience, all competing for the cover of Fitness magazine. We caught up with them prior to their big photo shoot experience to get to know them better!

What made you decide to enter the Biogen Face of Fitness?

It’s so often that we let opportunities pass us by or take what we have for granted and in a split second it can all disappear. After shattering both of my elbows, I made a promise to never undervalue what it means to have a healthy body that allows you to do what you love and to seize every opportunity without a second thought.

Entering this competition is exactly that! Seizing the moment, striving to be a part of something that is greater than myself, to grow as an individual and continually aim to be the best “me” both mentally and physically. Having the chance to represent brands that I use and believe in would be an incredible privilege. If you don’t reach for your dreams they will never be achieved.

What would you say are you most excited about with regards to the competition?

Reaching the Top 6 in this incredible journey! There is so much excitement surrounding the next couple of days! From being treated and spoiled like absolute queens, to the photoshoots, tans, meeting the sponsors, working with the best in the industry and being able to get to bond with the other 5 ladies. The most amazing aspect about this competition is the platform that it provides, not only for the winner but for anyone who is passionate about the brands associated with Biogen Face of Fitness.

Did you ever think that you would make it this far?

Truthfully, I hoped and prayed that I would, but there were so many beautiful and talented ladies that entered. I am completely humbled to have made it this far against an exceptional group of women and to continue in the competition.

What do you hope to achieve through being in the Final 6 of the Biogen Face of Fitness?

To channel my love for health and fitness in the correct avenues and to be a great ambassador to my sponsors! To be given the opportunity to network with the best in the industry, to encourage anyone to follow their dreams even when they feel all hope is lost. To promote body health and positivity on a general scale, but mostly importantly to help lead woman to a place of confidence and empowerment within their bodies.

Where/When/How did your fitness journey begin?

I have been moving and shaking from the age of 4years old when I started dancing and I haven’t stopped since. Fitness for as long as I can remember, has played a big role in my life. Having competed in my first freestyle competition at 5years old winning the tiny tots division, and then at age 9 my love for Latin American started. I competed locally and internationally, winning several local titles. I entered the world of Exhibition in which I travelled and competed extensively around the globe, winning the World Exhibition Championships in Assen, Blackpool Exhibition Championships, holding 13 international Show Dance/Exhibition titles and a recipient of the prestigious Carl Alan Award.

Having performed in exclusive venues around the world such as a professional show case for BBC “Strictly Come Dancing”, the Kremlin in Moscow, Radio City Music Hall for the live rounds and top 26 in “Americas Got Talent”, Vale Colorado Dance festival and China’s “Super Dancer Born Tonight”. Exercise has always been a part of my daily routine, not only for my body but for my mind.

How do you think fitness has changed your life?

Fitness has greatly shaped the person that I am today. A fitness journey teaches you so much about who you are as an individual and challenges you to go further than you thought possible. I apply the discipline and patience that I learnt from my fitness journey to all areas of my life.

What are some of your favourite ways to keep healthy and active?

Dancing is an incredible and fun way to keep fit, before you know it, you’re breaking a sweat! It’s a mind, body and soul workout. I’m a firm believer in having fun with your workouts, whether that’s lifting weights, attending a yoga class or putting on your favourite pair of heels and dancing the night away. If you are moving, your body will thank you.

How do you intend to inspire other women to pursue becoming the best version of themselves?

By being authentically me, flaws and all. I hope that it will inspire other women to feel that they can do the same, to love and accept their bodies. Every single body type is beautiful and unique. To be able to help women believe in themselves is to help change the way they think, to eliminate all negativity and self-doubt. The body hears everything the mind says. A strong mindset and a great workout routine will help achieve and conquer all your goals.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time within the fitness industry?

A dream of mine is to create a gym wear range that caters to all body types that is functional, fashionable and comfortable. To have a platform that inspires women to find their unique fitness journey, to be a recognised name within the fitness community and to still be a part of team red!

Do you have any other hobbies that you enjoy?

Knowledge is power! When I’m not being physically active, I enjoy learning and broadening my mind. The more you know the better equipped you are for the world. One can never stop growing no matter your age, there is always something new to learn and the best way to do that is by traveling! The life experience that you gain from traveling and being introduced to new cultures is unmatched. It allows you to view life from every perspective.
