Eating clean doesn’t mean abstaining from delectable treats. When it comes to living a healthy, balanced lifestyle, you can definitely have your cake and eat it!
Watch your portion sizes and the ingredients you use and you’ll drastically decrease the amount of calories within your treats! Here’s some delicious choc chip nut butter bars to satisfy your sweet tooth!
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- 1 cup nut butter of choice
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp almond flour
- 2/3 cup of xylitol
- 1/4 cup sugar-free chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp milk, if needed
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
- Grease a baking tray.
- Heat nut butter in the microwave if not already stir-able, then stir in the yogurt and vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, stir baking soda, salt, flour, and xylitol.
- Pour the dry ingredients into the wet and keep stirring. If needed, slowly add up to 2 tbsp milk of choice as you stir. Add in chocolate chips and incorporate well.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared pan. Smooth down evenly.
- Place in oven and bake for 10 minutes. When you take the bars out, the top will look set but they will still be very undercooked underneath. Leave the bars for 20 mins or overnight to set.
