Smoothie bowls are a must-have this Summer! They’re the latest on-trend way to get your daily dose of nutrient-packed goodness and some extra protein as well as refreshing, fruity, and fun!
They’re also really easy to whip up, all you do is:
- Add all your ingredients together and blend in a high-speed blender, until you reach your desired consistency.
- Pour mixture into a bowl and dress it up with some extra toppings.
Here are three of our must-try smoothie bowls this Summer!
Triple Berry Dairy Blast
What you’ll need:
- 1 Banana, frozen
- 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/4 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/4 cup frozen raspberries
- 1/2 cup Unsweetened Almond milk
- 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt
- 1 cup Ice
Top it off with:
- 2-3 sliced Strawberries
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp sliced Walnuts
Did you know that blueberries add an additional antioxidant punch as they’re rich in anthocyanin, a flavonoid with potent antioxidant properties.
Coconut Kiwi Delight
What you’ll need:
- 1 Banana, frozen
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 greek yogurt
- 1 cup white coconut flesh
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 3/4 cup ice
Top it off with:
- Blueberries
- 1 tbsp almonds
- Kiwi slices
- 1/2 Green apple
Did you know that coconuts contain healthy saturated fatty acids that have been shown to help lower cholesterol and lower blood pressure.
Chocolate Nut Butter
What you’ll need:
- 2 large frozen bananas
- 2 scoops Chocolate whey protein powder
- 1 tbsp natural nut butter
- 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 3-4 Ice cubes
Top it off with:
- Banana slices
- 1 tbsp cacao nibs
- a handful of chopped nuts
- shaved coconut
Did you know that cocoa powder contains more than 300 different chemical compounds, including highly beneficial polyphenols known as flavonoids.
