[RECIPE] Sweet Sensation Immune Booster Smoothie

This immune-boosting smoothie is both satiating and nutritious, ticking all the important boxes for a quick winter breakfast or snack option.

Rich in immune-boosting nutrients, this is the ideal way to strengthen your immune response to ward off winter bugs.

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple, diced
  • 2-3 cups of spinach
  • 1 knob of fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1 knob turmeric root, peeled
  • ½ tbsp natural honey
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ cup coconut milk

Ginger has antiviral and antibacterial properties. It contains powerful anti-inflammatory phytonutrients, which may help to ease congestion and relieve sore muscles.

Method

  1. Add the ingredients to a blender and blitz until smooth. Add milk to thin it out if need be.
  2. Enjoy!
