[RECIPE] Morning immune-booster smoothie

Start building your immune strength now to support your body in its fight against colds and flus this winter.

This immune-booster smoothie contains potent natural ingredients and supplements that support your immune system, help to manage stress and aid recovery.

Ingredients

  • 2 oranges
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • tsp ginger powder
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 serving BCAA powder
  • 1 serving L-glutamine powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • ½ cup pineapple
  • 20 drops Echinacea drops
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 cup berries
  • Tahini paste

Boost your vitamin C intake with oranges and lemons. Lemons may also assist in soothing cold and flu symptoms and soothe a sore throat.

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a liquidizer and blend until smooth.
  2. Add more or less tahini depending on your preference for thickness.
  3. Serve and enjoy.

Ginger has antiviral and antibacterial properties and contains potent phytonutrients, while honey has powerful antimicrobial properties and can soothe a sore throat.

Coconut oil has antiviral, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties.

Cayenne pepper is great for easing congestion.

Tahini paste is high in sterols to help boost immunity. The protein content also helps to slow release the sugar into the blood.

Echinacea is powerful natural cold and flu fighter.
