Are you ready to launch your career as a fitness model? Entries are set to open 1 August! But before that, we’ve got some major (and exciting) changes to announce for the 2018 USN Face of Fitness cover model search.
The lady crowned as the 2018 USN Face of Fitness not only walks away with an amazing prize package, comprised of products and a cash element, valued at R120,000, but she’ll also launch her career as a fitfluencer, brand ambassador and an industry role model.
What’s more is that the competition format has also undergone a few changes.
Online voting will now be open for all the entrants (and not just the top 32), which happens in early September. Based on the combined votes of the public and our competition judges, 12 ladies will ultimately be selected to progress. From those 12, only three ladies will go on to attend the final 3-day all-expenses-paid fitness magazine cover shoot and experience.
However, the biggest change to this year’s competition is the fact that, for the first time ever, all three of the final contestants will earn themselves a spot on our cover! That’s right, our November-December issue will feature each of the three finalists, each with their own cover. We’ll then leave the choice of who’s the best up to our readers, their fans and the public. Whichever cover resonates with the audience most will be crowned winner and receive the R120,000 prize package.
In this way we’re giving all 3 ladies an equal opportunity to walk away with the title, and that coveted and valuable role as a brand ambassador.
Do we have your attention now?
“Every year we uncover new talent. This cover model search competition has certainly set the bar for launching modelling careers. Many of South Africa’s most popular fitness personalities have used this competition to gain exposure. Whether they won or not, the platform created numerous additional opportunities for finalists to secure great sponsorships and notoriety in the industry”, says Tanja Schmitz, fitness magazine editor and publisher.
Other than the amazing prize packet and exposure opportunities, it’s also a chance to become part of the elite team of USN brand ambassadors. “USN leads the way with our brand ambassador programme by creating unprecedented opportunities to gain international exposure and engage with some of the best athletes on the planet”, says Donato Colangelo, Head of Marketing at USN.
This year fitness mag is excited to also introduce Fusion Labs as a partner. The brand will back our winner and help grow her profile and influence with additional exposure opportunities. The company is on the hunt for a local brand ambassador and feels that the USN Face of Fitness aligns with the brand’s values and ideals.
“Our goal was simple: develop and produce the most effective products to promote optimal health,” explains Rasheed Patel, Managing Director at Fusion Labs, “and every previous USN Face of Fitness has been the epitome of peak health.”
