This Roasted Nut and Chia Seed Bars recipe features a rich blend of roasted cashews, pecans, chia seeds, and a luscious topping of almond butter, melted chocolate, and cacao nibs for a satisfying treat that’s both nutritious and indulgent.
Ingredients
- 1½ cups cashews & pecans, roasted
- ⅓ cup Lifestyle Food Chia Seeds
- 1¼ cups soaked brown dates
- Lifestyle Food Almond Butter to top
- Lifestyle Food Sugar Free Milk Chocolate, melted
- Cacao nibs
Chia seeds are a rich source of numerous nutrients that can support glowing skin, including electrolytes that support hydration, antioxidants that can help protect skin cells from excessive damage by free radicals, and omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which help maintain the skin’s barrier function to protect cells and retain moisture.
How to make it
- Soak the brown dates in water until soft. Blend into a date paste.
- Roast the nuts. Blend in with the dates until smooth.
- Add the nuts, chia seeds and date paste to a bowl and mix well.
- Pour in to a square tin and spread flat. Add almond butter on top and smooth out.
- Melt the chocolate and pour on top. Add cacao nibs and freeze until set.
- Slice into bars and enjoy!
