Run or walk with thousands of other women in support of PinkDrive at the 2018 Totalsports Women’s Races. Enjoy a 5km or 10km journey through the streets of either Cape Town or Jo’burg.
In the Cape Town events start and finish in front of City Hall. Other iconic landmarks to look out for will include the Company Gardens, South African National Gallery, South African Jewish Museum and District Six. The action of the Totalsports Women’s Race Cape Town will close off with a lively performance by GoodLuck.
In Johannesburg, the route will be fairly fast and flat. Iconic landmarks to look out for on route will include the Oriental Plaza, the Constitutional Court of South Africa, the Johannesburg Theatre and the Nelson Mandela Bridge. The action ends with a performance by South African rapper and poet, Sho Madjozi. Runners and walkers can look forward to a fantastic day out with family and friends.

9 August is Women’s Day in South Africa (International Women’s Day is celebrated on 8 March). It’s a day that commemorates a national march by some 20,000 women, which took place on the same date in 1956, to petition against ‘pass’ laws.
