In Just 20 Minutes You Could Be Stronger Than Yesterday
While perhaps the title shouldn’t be taken too literally, there is now a new form of fitness technology that is making it much easier for the average individual to lose weight, tone up, build impressive musculature, and develop greater strength. Furthermore, it is a method that enables them to do so in far less time than is possible when relying on a conventional exercise programme. In essence, because a single 20-minute workout can provide as much exercise as 5 or 6 hours spent pumping iron, it is likely that even a first-time participant will feel stronger than he or she did yesterday.
Advances made during the 21st century and the last few decades of the 20th have led to a culture of instant gratification. Consumers are drawn like moths to a flame by gadgets and services that can produce results in less time than their predecessors. That the same holds true in the quest for fitness should come as no great surprise. On the other hand, the fact that the technology was first used for this purpose more than 50 years ago by Russian sports doctors in a bid to bolster the strength of their athletes, seems certain to surprise anyone hearing this today, at a time when thousands have succeeded in becoming even stronger than they might have hoped for, with the use of this remarkable technology from yesterday.
In fact, the basis of this technology can be traced back to experiments conducted during the late 18th century by one Luigi Galvani. These revealed that isolated muscle tissue from a frog could be made to contract involuntarily when subjected to an electric current. His findings also provided valuable insight into the mechanism responsible for voluntary muscular contractions. Following a succession of advances in the application of the phenomenon that became known as “Galvanism”, the technology has since entered the public domain and been applied both for therapeutic purposes and as a form of fitness training with the potential to render its users measurably stronger than yesterday.
The equipment is designed to deliver a series of pulsed charges to selected muscle groups as determined by a personalised programme in which the frequency and intensity of charges can be adjusted to match the requirements and the abilities of the trainee. The programmes are conducted under the supervision of a qualified trainer and can be designed to promote weight loss, muscle growth, toning, or cellulite reduction, and even to aid recovery following an injury, when each session can help the subject to feel a little stronger than yesterday.
Proven safe and effective for use by subjects of any age and current level of fitness, EMS has become the preferred fitness programme for many prominent professional athletes, as well as a popular choice among bodybuilders seeking to add and maintain their muscle bulk.
Whether your goal may be to fit into that little black dress again, to present a more imposing image on your favourite beach, or to lift a small car, a course of EMS at a Body20 studio could help you achieve any or all of the above and, at the very least, will be certain to leave you feeling stronger than you did yesterday.
