[RECIPE] Protein power hot chocolate

Power up your recovery while you warm your body and soothe that sweet tooth with this decadent high-protein hot chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of milk or milk alternative
  • 1 serving whey protein powder, Chocolate flavour
  • 1 tbsp sweetener
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

Cocoa powder contain important compounds that can benefit your health, including theobromine which can reduce inflammation, and polyphenols, which are naturally-occurring antioxidants that offer several health benefits.

Method

  1. Warm the milk in a saucepan.
  2. Whisk in the protein powder, sweetener and cocoa.
  3. Keep whisking until it reaches the desired thickness.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy.
