Looking for a hydrating and energising pre-workout drink? Try this quick and easy Energising Chia Fresca recipe for a burst of nutrients and flavour.
Chia fresca is a traditional drink from Mexico and Central America, traditionally made with chia seeds, water, and lime or lemon juice.
Ingredients
- 150ml Biogen Electrolite Ready to Drink, Lime & Ginger flavour
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 150-200ml filtered water

Method
- In a glass or shaker bottle, add the Biogen Electrolite Ready to Drink, chia seeds, and filtered water.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly using a spoon, whisk or shaker bottle to prevent the chia seeds from clumping together.
- Let the drink sit for a minute or two to allow the chia seeds to start to gel.
- Drink your Energising Chia Fresca about 15-30 minutes before your workout to fuel your body and stay hydrated.
