Acclaimed South African wellness entrepreneur, Lisa Raleigh, has added targeted DNA testing to her comprehensive health and wellness offering, which already includes rebounding and dietetics.
“My husband, Staf, who is an integral part of the growth and current upward development of the business, loves to say that ‘data beats opinion’ and nothing could be more true when it comes to health and wellness fads,” says Lisa.
“A key reason why someone fails to achieve their weight-loss or health improvement goal is that they are working off a plan better suited to another individual.
“They haven’t examined their personal data at a cellular level, which means that all the effort in the world won’t bring results.”
Be the best you
Lisa and her team believe that realising the very best version of self cannot be achieved without first trying to fully understand your unique physicality, genetic makeup and general lifestyle influences.
That is why the Lr Group has aligned with Carly Seager (BSc Dietetics) addressing nutrition and DNA, to offer a unique, data-driven offering that will take each individual through the necessary tests, steps, consultations, assessments and interventions on their way to realising their ultimate healthy, resilient, and happy self.
Carly obtained her BSc Dietetics Honours Degree (cum laude) from Stellenbosch University in 2015, where she was privileged to be trained by some of the country’s finest dietitians.
She has been working with the DNAlysis Nutrigenomic tests for eight years and has all of the required training, and years of experience, in interpreting and explaining the reports and translating the DNA results into practical, understandable lifestyle and nutrition interventions and recommendations.
Carly’s other areas of interest in nutrition include; gut health and gastrointestinal disorders, inflammatory disorders, weight management, diseases of the lifestyle (cholesterol, high blood pressure, insulin resistance and diabetes), emotional eating and women’s health conditions.
Carly believes in making practical recommendations that help her patients make truly sustainable lifestyle changes. As such, she is an avid healthy recipe creator and foodie.
Her recommended starting point is a full In-Body scale analysis, which measures:
- Skeletal muscle mass
- Body fat mass
- Body fat percentage
- Segmental lean and fat analysis
- Visceral fat level
- Body mass index
- Total body water
- Protein and mineral content
- In-Body score
- Body composition
This analysis is best followed by a single or series of DNA tests. When you order a DNA test, or combination of tests, this order will include an initial consultation with Carly to better get to know you and your needs, as well as 1, 2 or 3 feedback sessions (depending on the number of tests done) to adequately interpret and practically translate your genetic results into actionable interventions.
Once you have sent in your blood spot DNA collection, or cheek cell swab, and had your initial consultation, you can expect to be contacted for feedback of your results within 4 weeks.
Through a partnership with DNAnalysis, the Lr Group is able to offer a unique DNA Belly test, a comprehensive DNA Health test, DNA Diet, and a new DNA Resilience test.

Unlock a unique approach that works
“We know that movement, like rebounding, is universally relevant to all ages and fitness levels, and we welcome clients, from 3 to 103, to our bounti rebounding family.
“No matter where you start, or how far you progress, you will see results and overall health improvements, as rebounding heals and does not harm,” continues Lisa.
“But, if you have specific health concerns, or your journey towards optimal health stagnates, DNA testing along with an In-Body Scale analysis is absolutely incredible for unlocking the truly unique aspects of yourself that determine your best health and wellness solutions. Don’t fall for the fads!”
