As temperatures start to rise, energise your workout the flavourful way with this homemade Pre-Workout Lollies recipe.
Infused with Biogen Premium Pre-Workout Blood Orange flavour, these lollipops are not just a treat to your taste buds but also a great boost for your energy levels before hitting the gym.
Ingredients
- 1 cup golden syrup
- ⅔ cups granulated sugar
- 1 scoop Biogen Premium Pre-Workout, Blood Orange flavour
- Red food colouring
Biogen Premium Pre-Workout has been formulated with high levels of Beta-Alanine, L-Citrulline Malate and Creatine Monohydrate for assisting you through your workout with benefits that may include explosive power, muscle performance and muscular endurance. Containing Branched Chain Amino Acids along with L-Glutamine to support recovery.
Method
- In a small stainless steel pot, combine the golden syrup and granulated sugar. Place over medium-low heat. Stir occasionally with a rubber spatula until the mixture becomes clear, indicating that the sugar has dissolved completely. Make sure the heat distribution is even to avoid burning the sugar.
- Add a thermometer to the pot and increase the heat to medium. Let the mixture boil without stirring until it reaches the hard crack stage (approximately 149°C or 300°F). Alternatively, drop a little of the mixture onto a plate; if it sets hard and is difficult to manipulate, it’s ready.
- Place a few drops of food colouring and Biogen Premium Pre-Workout in a bowl.
- Carefully pour the hot sugar mixture into the prepared bowl. Stir quickly to evenly distribute the food colouring and Biogen Premium Pre-Workout.
- Working swiftly, spooning 1-2 tablespoons of the mixture onto a silicone mat or into lollipop moulds. Immediately insert a lollipop stick and, if desired, add sprinkles. Sugar hardens quickly, so work swiftly when pouring and shaping the lollies.
- Allow the lollipops to set at room temperature. This will take just a few minutes.
- Once set, the lollipops can be enjoyed immediately or stored in an airtight container.
