Gain Lean Muscle Fast with EMS Training

You could gain lean muscle much faster with EMS training

Perhaps the single biggest obstacle that prevents most people from achieving the sort of body they would really like is the sheer volume of time and effort involved. Most will have seen the fitness fanatics at work, and are well aware of the dedication needed by those who embark on a programme of traditional exercise.

For the average parent with a job, finding the time to regularly go to the gym can be difficult enough. Moreover, in light of the rather sedentary nature of most jobs today, limited fitness levels often act as an additional deterrent. So, if for some reason, you are unable or reluctant to try losing weight and toning up your body by conventional means, could there be some way in which to make the transformation process both easier and quicker?

In fact, recently, many people in South Africa have been discovering that it is quite possible to gain lean muscle fast with EMS training. As well as producing visible results in far less time than conventional resistance training with weights and exercise machines, it also requires much less effort, which makes it an ideal option for people of all ages and fitness levels.

EMS?

The 3-letter acronym stands for electro-muscular stimulation, and relies on the use of electric current to produce involuntary muscular contractions. Since lifting weights or overcoming the resistance offered by a piece of gym equipment involves voluntary muscular attractions, both activities serve to provide the participant with the exercise required to tone or build their bodies. Although the purpose of these alternative activities may be the same, this is where the resemblance ends.

Typically, in order to achieve the desired results through conventional exercise, one tends to require at least three of four sessions of an hour or more every week, and it can be months before the first signs of improvement become apparent. By contrast, with electro-muscular stimulation, a single weekly session of just 20 minutes can produce visible results in a few weeks.

Why it works

The explanation as to why it is possible to gain lean muscle so fast with EMS training is surprisingly simple. Lifting a dumbbell, for instance, involves a single muscular contraction, which may be sustained for a while and then repeated during the next lift. By contrast, when applying electrical stimulation in the form of a pulsed charge, individual pulses create a contraction that is sustained briefly, every four seconds. Greatly increasing the number of contractions at each 20-minute session is the equivalent of four hours of conventional exercise.
