If your burning ambition is to become a fitness model and brand ambassador in the health and fitness industry, then opportunity is knocking. Entries for the 2020 Biogen Face of Fitness cover model search open on 1 August.
For the past 12 years, the annual talent search competition has given young, aspiring local fitness models a platform to kickstart and advance their careers in the industry by becoming a recognised influencer and unlock life-changing opportunities.
This year’s refreshed competition has a new brand identity with Biogen as the title sponsor and an expanded format.
How to enter
Entrants must submit at least 2 recent photos and complete the entry form online. A one-minute video that showcases your personality and highlights your approach to training, nutrition and a fitness-focused lifestyle is also recommended, but not required.
See faceoffitness.co.za for more information
The top 6 finalists will attend an all-expenses paid photoshoot experience and the judges will select the winner based on the strength of her photos on the day.
However, the judges are looking for someone who can inspire and motivate with her words and actions, as much as she does through her photos.
The winner must make fitness a central part of her life, and authentically represent the lifestyle through her social media channels, the way she engages with her followers and how she promotes health and fitness.
The winner secures her spot on the cover of Fitness magazine’s 2020 annual issue and becomes a Biogen and Fusion Labs brand ambassador for a year.
Prizes galore! The winner walks away with a prize valued at R140,000
The grand prize also includes a R35,000 product and apparel sponsorship and a R20,000 cash prize from Biogen, a Fusion Labs product package valued at R15,000, and R10,000 in cash from Moove Gyms.
The competition’s education partner, HFPA Fitness Academy is sponsoring an Advanced Personal Trainer Diploma* qualification worth R18,600 for the winner, who will also receive a 1-year Moove Gym Premium membership valued at R30,000, including 20 Fit Pass vouchers valued at R2,800, and additional apparel and tech prizes.
The 5 runners-up will also appear in the magazine and will each receive prizes from Biogen, Fusion Labs product hampers, HFPA online courses, a 12-month Moove Gym Premium membership and fitness apparel and tech prizes.
And in another first for the competition, the top 32 will also receive a prize courtesy of Moove Gym. They will all enjoy 3 months of free Premium access training, valued at R7,500.
