The rugged trails, tough terrain and scenic views of Kings Kloof, just outside of Johannesburg, will play host to fire, barbed wire and pure grit during South Africa’s first ever Spartan race on 27 October 2018. The country’s inaugural Spartan event weekend will feature three of the brand’s signature obstacle race (OCR) distances including the fast and furious “Sprint,” with more than 5-km of terrain and between 20 – 23 obstacles, a challenging “Super” with more than 13-km of terrain and more than 25 obstacles, and a Spartan Kids race. Spartan events include race heats for athletes of all ages and skill levels, from beginner to elite, while the Spartan Kids races offer options for children as young as four-years-old.
