Africa’s leading health, wellness and fitness festival, FIBO Global Fitness Africa, presented by Dis-Chem Pharmacies returns to the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg from 25 to 27 October 2019.
Looking back at 2018
Organised locally by Reed Exhibitions, last year’s festival was an overwhelming success, attracting over 6,500 visitors, who experienced over 100 fitness and health exhibitors.

The Ticketpro Dome became a playground for fitness enthusiasts and professionals to network, seek out the latest wellness concepts and innovations, and further their knowledge in the fitness industry.
Throughout the three days of FIBO Global Fitness Africa 2018, 61 free fitness classes were hosted, 22 speakers shared their first-hand experience in health, wellness and fitness, and 20 delicious food demonstrations and 17 athleisure fashions brands were showcased.
What to expect in 2019
The popular MiFitness Games, which last year hosted 330 athletes, and various focused Fit Zones including FitMOVE, FitFOOD and FitWEARwill return to FIBO Global Fitness Africa in 2019.
There will also be various new and exciting zones to cater to the interests of individuals passionate about leading a healthy and active lifestyle.
Visitors can also expect several updated exhibits and programs, including a massive 380sqm Dis-Chem Villageoffering the best in healthy living supplements and nutrition.
FIBO Africa will also follow the fitness journeys of ordinary South Africans seeking a healthier lifestyle. The ‘Dream Team’ will include The Bros, The Ladies, The New Mom, The Traveller and The Couple. Each will be given a FIBO Power Pack of trainers, nutritionists and life coaches to assist them to reach their fitness goals.
FIBO Africa Summit
On the 24 October, FIBO Africa will host its third annual summit, themed Future of Fitness. The summit will have two educational streams – one focusing on fitness facility management and the other for personal trainers.
Local and international speakers will provide all attendees with valuable information that they can use to improve their health, wellness and fitness offerings.
