Vitality offers up to 100% cash back on a Huawei Band 2 Pro

Discovery Vitality’s new partnership with Huawei means Vitality members can get up to 100% cash back on a Huawei Band 2 Pro fitness device from Sportsmans Warehouse.

Rewarding active living

“This benefit is aimed at allowing more of our members to get rewarded for physical activity,” says Vitality CEO, Dinesh Govender. “Equipping members with tools and knowledge, as well as incentivising them to get more active, aligns with Discovery’s core purpose of making people healthier.”

“Huawei is extremely proud of our association with Discovery Vitality. On the Vitality Device Booster you will be able to receive discounts on the Huawei Band 2 Pro as well as the entire Huawei Watch GT range,” says Likun Zhao, VP Huawei Consumer Business Group Southern Africa.

Affordable fitness monitoring

Retailing at R1299.90 at Sportsman’s Warehouse, the Huawei Band 2 Pro is a relatively affordable heart rate fitness device, made vastly more so through the new benefit.

To qualify for this benefit, Vitality members need to activate the Device Booster benefit under Vitality Active Rewards.

The maximum amount of cash back a member can receive is 100%, made up as follows:

  • Up to 25% upfront discount on the Huawei Band 2 Pro.
  • Up to 25% cash back, upfront, through the HealthyGear benefit and having Sportsmans Warehouse as a preferred partner. Both the main member and spouse (where applicable) need to complete a Vitality Age Assessment and Vitality Fitness Assessment to earn up to 25% cash back on qualifying spend at the preferred partner.
  • Up to 50% cash back for achieving weekly Vitality Active Rewards goals over 24 consecutive months.

Each adult member on a Vitality policy can activate the Huawei Band 2 Pro for one qualifying fitness device in a 24-month period (just one fitness booster benefit can be activated per member at a time). Members can visit their nearest Sportsmans Warehouse outlet or online store to confirm availability.
