We all want to get fitter, stronger, faster and leaner. That’s why we start every new year with a resolution to commit to the treadmill.
It’s easy to lose your way (especially when you have to scrap winter icicles off your windshield on the drive to gym).
One very powerful way to stay on track is to monitor your fitness, tracking your progress regularly.
Here’s a fitness test you should perform once a month. The first time you perform this test, use your results as the benchmark, and train to improve your scores every time.
Record how many reps you perform of each movement. It’s best if you have a friend, training partner or personal trainer help you so that you can remain focused and avoid injury.
Remember, after 30 days retest yourself. You should be able to perform more reps.
Perform these exercises for 50 seconds, with a 10 second rest between them:
- Jump Squats
- Push ups
- Jump lunges
- Tuck jumps
- High knees
- Straight abs
