The Power of “I Can”

It's no secret that positive thoughts can bring about powerful transformations.

Recently the Fitness Team started reviewing candidates for our upcoming issue of FATLOSS, readers who have made such inspirational lifestyle and body transformations that they are all noteworthy cover models. Reading their stories was nothing short of motivational (even evoking lots of mixed feelings about my own fitness goals.)

It’s no secret that positive thoughts can bring about powerful transformations. Constant reaffirmations are also key to keeping you on track. Immersing yourself in “fitness”, getting educated about your body and trying out new training techniques keeps it fresh and front of mind.

The power of believing in yourself is immense and the key driving factor to success. Whether you’re trying to cut back calories, progress to lifting heavier weights or run further and faster, the power of thought is what will get you there.

And it’s easier than you think. (Actually ‘thinking’ it’s not easy, in part sabotages the process. So change that thought too!)

Simply repeat a few simple points daily, whether it’s before a workout or when you find yourself struggling with a commitment you’ve made.

  1. I can lift it. I can move the weight – my body is strong, I’ve built it that way.
  2. I can achieve my personal best, today!
  3. I can be anything and anyone I want to be.

And then do it. Apply yourself 100%.

Every day you’ll make progress to your end goal, and grow stronger mentally (and physically!)
