Keep your training on track with a proactive approach.
There’s nothing more frustrating than having to take time away from gym to recover from colds and flu during winter. This is how you can boost your immune system to ensure you keep working toward those goals.
Scientific research into nutrition has shown that the immune system can be strengthened and optimal immunity can be achieved with specific nutrients and antioxidants, such as vitamins A, C, D and E, magnesium, zinc, selenium, beta carotene, and coenzyme Q10, to name a few.
While it’s important to get these micronutrients from our diet, modern diets and food processing means much of the food we eat today is often deficient in one or more of these important substances. It’s therefore advised that we supplement with suitable high-potency vitamin and mineral products. Various herbs, such as echinacea purpurea and Spirulina, along with a suitable pre- and probiotic are also potent supplements to bolster the immune system.
A combination of these products is therefore the ideal proactive approach to warding off colds and flu during winter, or even reducing the duration of an infection if you get one.
