What are your fitness goals?

My fitness goals are not for one thing. They are not for one photoshoot, for one competition or for one beach holiday in that bikini I purchased online. My fitness goals are about being hungry. Hungry for every workout, every run, every set and every rep. My fitness goals are about working harder to improve myself and breaking out of my comfort zone. I know when to push harder and when to be easier on myself and try again tomorrow. It is about seeing the bigger picture, knowing how to get there and always adapting and staying hungry. My fitness goals are to keep learning and to hopefully inspire other people. Fitness is a passion, an addiction. My main fitness goal is about staying hungry for the grind.

What are your hobbies?

I love waking up on a Saturday morning and smashing a great gym session. I love going for runs and hikes in nature and a chance to breathe and break away from it all. I also am fond of eating as food is one of life’s greatest gifts. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. When I am not exercising I love spending time with my family or binge-watching series. Don’t even get me started on Disney movies!

Do you have any sporting/fitness achievements you would like to share?

I have only recently started documenting my fitness journey publicly and have been consistently working to lift heavier, run further and get fitter. I would say one of my achievement is to post about this never-ending journey to fitness and in doing so, getting the opportunity to inspire other girls all over the world. My latest achievement is becoming part of this worldwide community of health and fitness and being able to model for a shoot for a medical website (mymed.com)

Why did you enter the USN Face of Fitness 2017?

Fitness is a big, scary and intimidating world, even for those who have been in it for several years. Before I started, I wouldn’t set a foot in the gym, let alone the weights section! I want to be able to show people that they are not alone. Some of my girlfriends have started exercising in the gym with me and their first few weeks at the gym consisted of them refusing to do something in fear of looking stupid, not wanting to sweat in front of other people and not being sure where to stand, let alone workout. I have loved working with them to find their confidence in their bodies and in their journey. I can now proudly say, they are hungry for the grind! I would love to be able to work with USN, being such a reputable and relatable brand for gym-goers, fitness-enthusiasts and newbies alike, to show people that everyone is in the same boat and this journey of fitness, although difficult at times, is one of excitement and courage, you just have to take the first step and then keep going!
