What are your fitness goals?
I have been on my fitness and health journey for a long period but somehow it was never consistent. I later realised that I was missing one thing, the most important tool – mental strength. Ever since I have come to that realisation, my journey has never been the same.
I train because there is a certain power you get after a tough workout; watching your body transform; and achieving something you thought was not possible previously. Irrespective of not having reached my body goals and health goals yet, I am not intimidated because I know I have all the skills, tools and perseverance to conquer everything I set my mind to.
For that reason, my goals are to be the strongest person I can be, both mentally and physically and getting to know how my body functions, as well as reaching its fullest capabilities.
What are your hobbies?
Cross country, gym, photography and hiking.
Do you have any sporting/fitness achievements you would like to share?
Full colours for hockey and captain of the First Team for hockey.
Why did you enter the USN Face of Fitness?
I entered this competition to influence the areas of health and fitness. The fitness world can be a much greater space if the participants look at things differently. You can make your journey whatever you would like it to be. I believe there are so many interesting and fun ways to get fit and stay fit. Even if I had to train in public to draw people’s attention to health and fitness I would do it! I am young, vibrant and outgoing and have a multitude of fresh ideas for a brand like USN. Also, having a media background in public relations, I can definitely use it to improve the way people perceive health and fitness.
